The issue of comfort women, victimes of Japan's military sexcial slavely is one of the major challenges in women's human rights movement in Korea and Japan. Nearly 50 years have past for survivors to brake their silence and come foward to demand apology and compensation from the Japanese government. This happens with the support of women's movement in Korea and in other countries where comfort women are now living.
