URGENT: Draft Agenda and Timeline of Trainers' Meeting



hi!

Below is the proposed daily schedule/timeline of the WENT2000 Trainers'
Meeting. Please go over it, and send your comments and suggestions before
Wednesday (19 April 2000). I have also *assigned* some of us to
facilitation and input roles. If you are one of these lucky souls I have
given assignments to, please write back to say if it is okay or not. I
apologize for not clearing this first with the concerned trainers, but I'm
in a real rush to get our agenda and timeline in order. I hope nobody feels
constrained to say yes or no.

Thursday to Sunday are declared official national holiday in observance of
the Christian Passion of Christ. I will be offline and will only come back
to life -- just like Jesus did -- in the evening of Easter Sunday.

I hope to revise this schedule, incorporating all your comments and
suggestions on Wednesday night. I will also try to put everything in html
to help us visualize the flow of the meeting.

OVERALL OBJECTIVES OF THE MEETING

1. To develop an over-all training design and course outline for the
training workshop; 

2. To come up with a logistical and communications plan for the training
workshop;  and

3. To promote team-building among the members of the training team.

end of session: 6:30 (except sessions on Friday and Saturday which will end

*note:* From 26-28 April, the idea is to devote the morning sessions to
inputs and discussions about topics and issues that are relevant to the
trainers in terms of their understanding of the context of WENT2000,
methodological/pedagogical issues, and resource sharing policies. On the
other hand, all afternoon sessions will be devoted to group work, wherein
the track members will sit down together and build/design/craft their
respective track's course design/outline, skeletal modules, tasking/role
assignments.
