I went through the announcement and the application form again and I still
think that the best way to deal with this is to add a sentence in the
announcement that says : We encourage women who are involved in B+5
follow-up information work to apply in the training. I also think there is
no harm in saying to Mr Kobayashi that we will keep an eye on these women
so that a number can be accepted to the training. anyway, we did say that
we would raise more funding to increase the number of women for each track.
If Mr Kobayashi prefers that Japan Foundation funding goes to fkollow-up
then -- this can fund participants who are intending to do just that in
their own areas. I think they will fit in well with track one or two.

Again, just a reminder that we do have an action plan as a guide for this
so that we don't unnecessarily create activities to suit funders.

This makes sense to me -- I think that we should be thinking of supporting
national/regional information activities that strengthens national/regional
netowrks rather than having a big contingent for the Special Session.

all for now,
